how it works

... Jane is particularly good at developing an understanding of her client’s requirements ...

Every new project starts with a phone call to establish that we're a good fit as designer and client. This is followed by a detailed consultation in your garden.

If you already have firm ideas and wish lists, that’s great; if you don’t know where to start, I’ll give you plenty of inspiration. I hope you will enjoy what is essentially a collaborative process.

We’ll discuss how you want to use your garden, talk about plants, materials and prices, and make a plan that you’re happy with.

I’ll sum all this up in a clear proposal letter that also outlines all stages of the work.

When you’re happy to go ahead, I’ll carry out a site survey to ensure all designs are accurate and to scale.

To make sure we’re on track so far, I’ll show you a concept plan. Once you’ve approved it, I’ll prepare master plan with detailed drawings of all landscaping and planting plans.

I’ll get quotes from my network of trusted landscape contractors, who I’ve worked with for many years. I’ll discuss these with you and help you choose the contractors who’ll transform your garden.

I keep an eye on the project as it progresses and am always available to answer any questions. It’s fantastic to see your garden taking shape

I personally select all your plants, sourcing them from high-quality specialist suppliers, and plant them myself. Then your beautiful new garden is ready for you to enjoy.

Finally, I’ll give you advice on caring for your garden as it matures.

FAQ - How much does it cost to design my garden? This is a really difficult question to answer but this article does quite a good job.
