My approach to design is based on the belief that getting closer to nature is not only desirable, but indeed essential, to a rewarding life. I am motivated by the desire to create gardens which provide a greater connection to plants, the soil, wildlife and the elements.

I believe that simplicity, elegance and delight are the key components of a successful project, and that quiet understatement delivers the garden escape we are all looking for.

My strengths lie in listening carefully to your requirements and delivering projects which often exceed your expectations in ways you never imagined. I work in a collaborative way - clients enjoy this and feel part of the process.

My childhood was spent in my parents’ garden and exploring the West Berkshire countryside on foot and by bike. After moving to London making gardens and spending time outside eventually seemed more meaningful than a career as a Chartered Accountant.
