A major house renovation was the impetus to change this rather dull courtyard into something much more attractive with a greater emphasis on planting. The fences were replaced, borders made much larger and were planted with a cheery blend of pink and yellow flowers with some evergreens for winter structure. The herringbone brick paving adds texture and warmth to the space. The space was cleverly designed to allow for two different seating areas and good views from the house and the new garden room. The plants have still got a bit of growing to do but they’re well on their way.
